On behalf of The City University Construction Fund (CUCF), Epic Management, Inc. acting as Construction Manager, is soliciting the services of a General Contractor to provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the renovation of two buildings located at Kingsborough Community College. Work to is to be completed in two phases and include temporary phasing work and temporary utilities, demolition of existing spaces, new roofing, MEP systems, casework, hazardous materials abatement and providing new HVAC systems, new casework, partitions, plumbing modifications, walls, doors, frames, hardware, electrical modifications, information technology and communications wiring, and finishes as required by the plans and specifications.
A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) is required for this Contract. The successful Bidder and all Sub-Bidders and future Subcontractors, of all subcontracting tiers, will be required to execute a Letter of Assent for the PLA and return same with the Contract at the Contract formation stage. A copy of the PLA is included as Book 2 of 4 with the Bid documents.
Bidders will be required to submit all required bid forms (forms included in Project Manual); including, but not limited to: proof of bonding capacity; project list confirming the company has satisfactorily completed a minimum of three (3) Academic administrative projects and/or Academic Instructional projects in the five (5) years, each in excess of $5 million, prior to Bid opening, as a General Contractor which self-performed at least 5% of the Work on the referenced projects as defined within the Bid documents (form included in Project Manual); proof of insurance; Bid Bond; Experience Modification Rate for past three (3) years prior to Bid opening. Subcontractor participation and/or Joint venture experience is not acceptable.
The successful Bidder will also be required to demonstrate the 5% minimum trade self-performance requirements for this project.
The MBE participation requirement for this project is 12%; the WBE participation requirement is 8%.
