On behalf of The City University Construction Fund (CUCF), Epic Management, Inc. acting as Construction Manager is soliciting the services of a General Contractor to provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the renovation of approximately 8,800 square feet of interior space located on the fifth floor of 395 Hudson Street, New York, NY. Work to is to be completed in a single phase and includes but is not limited to temporary utilities, demolition of existing spaces, MEP systems, casework, partitions, plumbing modifications, walls, doors, frames, hardware, electrical modifications, fire alarm work, sprinkler systems, information technology and communications wiring, and finishes as required by the plans and specifications.
A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) is required for this Contract. The successful Bidder and all Sub-Bidders and future Subcontractors, of all subcontracting tiers, will be required to execute a Letter of Assent for the PLA. A copy of the PLA is included as Book 2 of 2 with the Bid documents.
Bidders will be required to submit all required bid forms (forms included in Project Manual); including, but not limited to: proof of bonding capacity; project list confirming the company has satisfactorily completed a minimum of five projects, three of which were either office construction projects and/or conference center projects, in the five (5) years prior to the Bid opening, each with a contract value for the Bidder in excess of $1 million, and, each with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire sprinkler subcontracts, as a General Contractor which self-performed at least 5% of the Work on the referenced projects as defined within the Bid documents (form included in Project Manual); proof of insurance; Bid Bond; Experience Modification Rate for past three (3) years prior to Bid opening. Subcontractor participation and/or Joint venture experience is not acceptable. See Project Manual and Instructions to Bidders for definitions, clarifications and all requirements.
The successful Bidder will also be required to demonstrate the 5% minimum trade self-performance requirements for this project.
The MBE participation requirement for this project is 12%; the WBE participation requirement is 8%.
The MANDATORY site visit and pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for 395 Hudson Street on January 20, 2015 at 10:00 AM with a sign-in location at the ground floor lobby located at 395 Hudson Street, New York, NY 10014.
